About Scholarship

IHSAN TRUST and IBA Karachi jointly sponsor the IBA Ihsan Trust National Talent Hunt Program (IBA-IT NTHP), which is a fully paid orientation training programme. Talented students from Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa & FATA, Gilgit Baltistan, Punjab, Sindh, and Azad Kashmir are chosen, groomed, and prepared by the programme for the rigorous admission procedure to the BBA and BS degree programmes at IBA Karachi. The programme takes both merit and necessity into account. The orientation training places a strong emphasis on the candidates' academic and personal development as it gets them ready for success in the workplace.

Ihsan Trust is a non-profit organization, established with the aim of providing financial assistance for various community building services and above all, Qarz e Hasna (Interest-free Loan) facility to the needy students seeking higher education in Pakistan.

Program Outline

  1. In order to prepare for the admissions process (aptitude test & interview) into undergraduate degree programmes, candidates who successfully complete the assessment and selection process and express interest in pursuing higher education in Business Administration, Computer Science, Accounting & Finance, Economics & Mathematics, and Social Sciences & Liberal Arts are encouraged and invited to take part in a two-month training programme at IBA Karachi.
  2. Candidates selected for orientation training program will be provided free of cost training, boarding & lodging, stipend for the period of their stay, study material and one side train/bus ticket.
  3. Training of following subjects & skills will be provided during orientation;
    • English Grammar & Composition
    •  Mathematics
    • Presentation & Communication
  4. Selected IBA faculty, mentors, and other trainers with proven experience and expertise in their respective fields will lead the orientation training.
  5. All candidates for the BBA/BS degree programmes must take the IBA's aptitude test after completing the orientation training.
  6. Candidates who are admitted to the BBA, BS (Accounting & Finance), BS (Social Sciences & Liberal Arts), BS (Computer Sciences), BS(Economics), and BS (Economics & Mathematics) degree programmes on the basis of merit may be eligible for up to 100% in scholarships, financial aid, or Qarz-e-Hasna against tuition and other expenses, depending on the student's need for the aforementioned 4-year degree programs.

The Institute of Business Administration's flagship programme, the National Talent Hunt Program, is built on the principles of inclusivity, diversity, and the provision of high-quality education for all. The programme seeks to educate and prepare students who excelled in their intermediate and matriculation tests to pursue undergraduate studies at the IBA and become tomorrow's leaders.

With the talent becoming a part of the active workforce or a contributor to the social and economic development of the nation, education at IBA opens doors to upward social mobility.

To date, 250 candidates have successfully graduated from the Program, and are currently pursuing higher education or are performing tremendously in their careers.

Who Can Apply?

HSSC LEVEL - I:
Students who have secured 70% or above marks in HSSC Level-I exams by the Board of Secondary Education of Pakistan in the year 2022 and will be appearing for HSSC-II examinations in the year 2023 are eligible to apply.
HSSC LEVEL - II:
Students who have secured 70% or above marks in HSSC Level-II by the Board of Secondary & Intermediate Education of Pakistan in the year 2022 are eligible to apply.*Candidates who have had a gap year and appeared in HSSC-I are eligible to apply. Candidates from year 2019 and years prior to 2019 are not eligible to apply.
