Fully funded US Fulbright Scholarships for Pakistani Students 2024 | Apply For Mster’s And PhD programs

The Fulbright Master's and PhD Program provides financial aid for graduate studies in the US. These funds, which are provided by the US Department of State, pay for tuition, necessary textbooks, flights, a living allowance, and health insurance. USEFP also offers visa assistance.

Candidates for the Master's degree program must hold a four-year Bachelor's degree from an authorized university or a 16-year combination of a Bachelor's and a Master's degree. With the exception of applicants for the MBA and public policy/administration programs, who must have two years of work experience, recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Candidates who meet the requirements for the PhD programme must hold a Master's, M.Phil., or comparable degree (representing at least 18 years of formal education) from an approved university. Candidates with experience in Pakistan's public sector, academia, or fields of teaching and research are greatly desired.

All academic fields, with the exception of clinical medicine, are eligible for both the Master's and PhD programmes. All applicants must take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE General). A minimum score of 145 is needed on the GRE exam under the new scoring system, with a higher score required on the component that is most relevant to your field of study. Additionally, candidates must be highly proficient in both spoken and written English. All of the chosen candidates will have to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

All chosen candidates must agree to return to Pakistan after their programme in the U.S. and serve the nation for the same number of years as the duration of their scholarship programme by signing a contract with USEFP and, for chosen PhD candidates, a bond with the HEC. This contract is revocable on an annual basis for a minimum of two years; as long as the service obligation is met, there will be no fees.

Every year, applications are opened in January and February, with a deadline of approximately April or May. The process of interviewing and reviewing applications lasts until September, and the results are made public in the middle of October.
